The agreement between us
Short, in ordinary English, and without a clause designed to be skipped. If any of it reads as though it were written to trap you, tell us — that would be a mistake, not a strategy.
1. Who you're dealing with
Argo is operated by CognitiveCore Technologies LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. In these terms, "we" and "Argo" mean that company, and "you" means the person using the service. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to what's on this page and to our privacy policy.
2. What Argo is
Argo computes your birth chart from the date, time and place you give us, using the Swiss Ephemeris — the same ephemeris professional astrologers work from. Each day it holds that chart against the actual positions of the sky and writes you a reading: what the day's configuration touches in your chart, in psychological and archetypal language. It arrives by email at the hour you choose, and it waits for you on your sky page whether or not you read the email.
Argo says what an energy supports. It does not say what will happen.
3. Not advice
Argo is for reflection and self-understanding. It is not professional advice. Nothing in a reading is medical, psychological, legal, financial or career advice, and nothing in it is a diagnosis, a prognosis, a prediction, or a substitute for a qualified professional. Do not make a medical, legal or financial decision because a horoscope suggested it.
Argo does not predict the future, and does not claim any power to. Astrology is offered here as a symbolic language for thinking about your own life — a mirror, not a mechanism.
If you are in crisis, please contact a doctor or an emergency service in your country. A horoscope is not a place to go for help of that kind, and we will never pretend otherwise.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an Argo account. By creating one you confirm that you are. If you are under 18, use Argo with a parent or guardian's knowledge.
- An account is for one person. The reading is written about the person whose birth data is on the account, and it is only ever delivered to them.
- Give us accurate birth data. Not a rule for our benefit — the computation is only as good as the minute you give it. You can ask us to correct it at any time.
- Your email address is your key. Argo has no passwords; anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you. Keep your inbox safe, and tell us if you lose control of it.
- We may suspend or close an account that is being used to abuse the service or another person. We will tell you why.
5. What is free, and what is paid
Your chart is free. Anyone can enter their birth details and get their computed chart at no cost, with no card — where the sun, moon and planets stood at the minute and place you were born, and the plain-language information that follows from it. That is computation, we are glad to hand it over, and you are not enrolled in anything by taking it.
Readings are the paid part. A reading — written about your chart against a particular day's sky — begins when you start a paid plan (§6). There is no free reading, no free first reading and no free week: nothing is written for you before you have paid. If we ever offer a reading at no cost as a promotion, it will say so plainly at the time, and it will be a promotion rather than a change to this section.
6. The subscription
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Price — monthly | $11.11 per month, in US dollars. |
| Price — annual | $88.88 per year, in US dollars — eight months' price for twelve months of mornings. Billed once, for the year. |
| What you get | A personalised daily reading, computed from your chart against each day's sky, delivered by email at the hour you choose and kept on your sky page. Every plan gets the same reading, every morning; the plans differ only in how often you are charged. |
| No free trial | There isn't one. Whichever plan you choose, you are charged when you subscribe — there is no free period, no "$0.00 today", and nothing that starts free and begins charging later. If we ever introduce a trial, it will be offered plainly at checkout and these terms will say so before it applies to anyone. |
| Billing | In advance, charged to your card by Stripe on the day you subscribe: monthly plans on the same day each month after, the annual plan once for the year and then on the same date each year. |
| Renewal | It renews automatically — every month on a monthly plan, every year on the annual plan — until you cancel. There is no minimum term and no contract length. |
| Tax | Sales tax or VAT may be added where the law requires it, and will be shown at checkout. |
| Price changes | If we ever raise the price, it applies to new subscribers. If it were ever to affect you, we would email you at least 30 days before it took effect, and cancelling would be one click. |
| Payment processing | Stripe. Your card details go from your browser to Stripe and are never seen or stored by Argo. |
7. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, for any reason, without talking to anyone:
- Press Manage subscription on your sky page. It opens the Stripe billing portal for your account, where you can cancel in one click — or update the card that pays for it. No conversation, no form, nobody to get past.
- Or email [email protected] from the address on your account and say so. We do not ask why, and there is no offer waiting to talk you out of it.
- Or delete your account from your sky page — that cancels the subscription in the same step and erases your data (see the privacy policy).
Cancelling stops the renewal. Your reading continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops. Nothing is clawed back and nothing is held hostage.
8. Refunds
If Argo isn't for you, email [email protected] within 30 days of a charge and we will refund it in full. No form, no reason required, no argument. After 30 days we will still refund the current month if something went wrong on our side — a run of missed mornings, a billing error, a reading that never arrived.
Refunds return to the card that paid, through Stripe, usually within five to ten business days depending on your bank. Nothing here affects any statutory refund or cancellation right you have where you live; where local law gives you more, local law wins.
9. How the readings are written
The astronomy is computed — positions and aspects come from the Swiss Ephemeris, and nothing about the sky is approximated or invented. The words are then written by a large language model working from your computed chart and the day's real positions, against instructions we wrote, and checked by automated quality tests before they are sent. We say this plainly because you should know what is arriving in your inbox.
Readings are generated fresh for you. Two people with the same sun sign do not get the same words, and no reading is drawn from a bank of pre-written text.
10. Fair use
- Don't use Argo to break the law, or to harm or harass anyone.
- Don't scrape the site, hammer the endpoints, or try to make the system compute or write at someone else's expense.
- Don't resell your readings, republish them at scale, or use them to train another model or build a competing service.
- Don't create an account with someone else's birth data in order to receive readings about them. The reading goes to the person it is about; that is a rule of the house, not a technicality.
- Don't attempt to reach parts of the system that aren't yours. If you find a security flaw, email us — we will thank you properly and we will not come after you for telling us.
11. Who owns what
Your birth data is yours. We hold it to do the job you asked for, and you can take it back or delete it whenever you like.
Your readings are yours to keep. Read them, save them, print them, screenshot one and send it to a friend. What §10 rules out is bulk republication and commercial reuse, not sharing something that landed.
The site, the name, the artwork, the system and the instructions behind the writing are ours, and stay ours.
12. Availability
Argo aims to deliver every subscriber's reading within fifteen minutes of the hour they chose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service — no service of this size honestly can. What we do guarantee is that a missed morning will say so, in plain words, on your sky page. Nobody paying for a daily ritual will be met with silence and left to wonder.
If we ever discontinue Argo, we will give you notice, stop billing you, and give you a way to take your archive with you before anything is switched off.
13. Liability
Argo is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated here, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any decision you make after reading a horoscope — see §3.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits; where that is so, they do not apply to you.
You agree to cover us against claims arising from your own breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. For anything material — price, cancellation, your rights — we will email you before it takes effect, and continuing to use Argo after that date means you accept the new version. If you do not, cancel; §7 is one click and §8 still applies.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, nothing here removes your right to bring a claim where you live, under the law that protects you there.
Before anything formal, email us. Almost everything is a misunderstanding that one reply fixes.
