What this is, and isn’t

Argo describes sky weather computed from real astronomy. It doesn’t predict your life, and it isn’t medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. What you do is yours.

The astronomy is exact.

Where the sun, moon and planets stood at the minute you were born, and where they stand today, comes from the Swiss Ephemeris — the same ephemeris professional astrologers work from. Nothing there is approximated and nothing is invented. If you didn’t give us a birth time, we tell you which parts of your chart that leaves open instead of quietly filling them in.

What we say about it is astrology.

That is a symbolic language, several thousand years old, for thinking about your own life. Argo is careful with it: we say what a configuration supports, never what will happen, because we don’t know what will happen and neither does anyone who tells you otherwise. A season is not a schedule.

The cards are pictures of positions.

Argo illustrates your chart with tarot imagery fixed to the degrees of the zodiac. There is no shuffle, no draw and no chance: the same chart on the same date returns the same cards, always. Some of those cards are dark ones, and we show them rather than hide them, because a system that only ever deals you sunshine isn’t describing anything real. A hard card names a weather and its other side. It is never a verdict on you and never a forecast of an event.

What it isn’t.

Not medical advice. Not psychological advice or therapy. Not legal or financial advice. Not a diagnosis, not a prognosis, not a prediction. Argo will never tell you to take a job, leave a person, buy a thing or wait a week — and if you ever read a line that sounds like it is telling you to, write to us, because that is a defect and we will fix it.

What you do is yours.

That is not a caution at the bottom of a page. It is the whole design. Everything Argo sends is written to hand the day back to you with more of it visible — what is being asked, what is being supported, what is worth being curious about. The deciding was never ours to do.
